Schmeichel’s hands are dependable. He secures crosses and shots well, reducing rebounds into danger zones.
He reads the game and positions himself intelligently. Whether it’s narrowing angles for strikers one-on-one or positioning on through-balls, his sense for where to be makes him difficult to beat from close range.
Quick reflexes make him effective at stopping low and mid-height shots, and he’s sharp off the line for scrambles inside the six-yard box.
缺点
He doesn’t meet the “ideal” tall GK profile (6'5" or above). That shorter height reduces his vertical reach on high-driven crosses, shots aimed for the top corners, and tip-overs from volleys. In practical terms, he may struggle to claim very high crosses or win aerial 50/50s against towering forwards.
Lack of Long Thrower Trait, without a long-throw/long-distribution trait, his ability to instantly turn a save or catch into a direct counter-attack is reduced.
