Sommer has some of the sharpest reflexes you’ll find in a goalkeeper. In close-range 1v1 situations or when opponents take unexpected shots, he reacts extremely fast and can pull off those acrobatic saves.

At 6’0” (183 cm), Sommer is on the shorter side compared to elite meta keepers. This becomes an issue especially against tall strikers and crosses, where taller GKs like Courtois or Van der Sar dominate.

Lacks long thrower trait, while not a dealbreaker, it does impact how quickly you can launch counterattacks. Without the long throw trait, his distribution isn’t as dangerous as some other keepers who can instantly release wingers with pinpoint throws.
