Hincapié has good enough pace for a full-back, not blistering like top-tier LBs such as Marcelo, Udogie or Capdevila, but sufficient to hold his own.

His reaction stat is excellent, which means he adjusts quickly to unexpected changes in possession or deflections near his side.

This is Hincapié’s biggest strength, he is absolutely rock-solid defensively. He doesn’t dive in recklessly, stays composed in 1v1s, and can handle elite wingers with confidence. He also excels at jockeying and timing standing tackles, making him difficult to beat on the wing.

Hincapié is strong, aggressive, and not easy to push off the ball. He wins shoulder-to-shoulder duels and holds his ground even against physical forwards.

At 6 feet tall (184 cm), almost 6'1" Hincapié has a notable size advantage over many left backs. His height helps him, win aerial duels on the back post, block crosses more effectively, provide extra coverage on set pieces.

Medium/high work rates, this is a very desirable work rate combo for a defensive full-back. He stays back naturally, doesn’t make unnecessary forward runs, and maintains a solid defensive shape.
