Pros
One of Trippier’s best traits is his playmaking from deep or wide areas. He’s excellent at switching play, crossing into the box, and releasing midfielders or wingers with well-timed passes.
His reactions are sharp, which helps both defensively (cutting off passing lanes or responding quickly to rebounds) and offensively (recovering loose balls or initiating counters from the back).
Defensively, Trippier is positionally sound and technically consistent. He makes smart reads and is rarely caught out of position.
Despite being on the shorter side for a fullback, Trippier holds his own physically. His strength and balance allow him to engage in shoulder challenges and recover well when defending against tricky wingers.
The Long Throw-In trait is a nice bonus for players who like to create attacking threats from throw-ins near the box.
Cons
Pace can be better: While not slow, he lacks that top-end speed needed to recover against elite wingers or break forward aggressively.
Medium/Medium work rates, he’s not overly aggressive going forward or tenacious tracking back, this makes him a more static fullback compared to others.
Alternatives

Final Verdict
Trippier is a defensively responsible, tactically aware, and technically clean RB. He fits best in formations where fullbacks are asked to support buildup rather than bomb forward constantly. His crossing, reactions, and intelligence make him a solid outlet on the right flank, especially in teams that favor control over chaos.
