Smooth, elegant, and composed, that’s what defines Pires on the wing. His pace is very good, with quick acceleration and strong top speed that allow him to make sharp overlapping or diagonal runs with ease.
Dribbling, ball control, and agility are excellent, giving him that effortless glide past defenders even in tight areas. His ball retention is also impressive, he keeps control under pressure and rarely loses possession.
Passing and crossing are where he truly shines. He delivers accurate through balls, pinpoint crosses, and creative passes that constantly open up defenses. Finishing is reliable too, especially with finesse shots from just outside the box.
At 6'2", he has great presence for a wide midfielder, helping him win aerial duels and contribute as a secondary target in the box. Off the ball, his positioning and timing of runs are intelligent and consistent.
Has Finesse Shot and Flair traits, which enhance his shooting technique and add style to his attacking play.
Cons
Would’ve been more complete with a 5 star weak foot, his 4 star weak foot can lead to occasional misses on his weaker side. Defensively he’s decent but not someone you’d rely on for deep tracking runs.
