Martinez is a fast, aggressive, ground-dominant center-back who excels in tackles, recovery runs, and physical duels on the turf. However, his height (5'10") is a serious drawback in the current FC Mobile meta, where aerial battles, crosses, and tall strikers are common. He can work well in a high defensive line or press-heavy system, but only when paired with a tall, aerially strong CB. Strong on paper, but situational in practice.
